LIM
Aetrex’ webstores had been built with Demandware, a legacy enterprise eCommerce platfrom that was acquired by Salesforce and rebranded as Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
They needed a more cost-effective and nimble eCommerce platform to launch their main store, as well as storefronts that would be used for specific campaigns, such as when their brand was to be featured on major TV shows.
Aetrex was planning to launch multiple Shopify stores. They were on a legacy ERP – Elite by Tecsys ERP- which did not have the necessary API connectivity. The company planned to eventually replace their ERP, after their new sites would go live, but required a flat-file solution to work with the existing ERP.
They needed both a short-term solution for fulfilling orders in their ERP, and a long-term option for migrating to a new ERP with more comprehensive connectivity.
iPaaS.com has a strong integration with Shopify, which supported all of the required dataflows, including to send Order data in near-real-time to iPaaS.com, and to receive back shipment/tracking information and order status updates.
This allows iPaaS.com users to receive orders in Shopify, and fulfill them in other systems such as ERPs.
In this case, as Aetrex was specifically seeking a flat-file solution to transmit order data with their existing ERP via .csv files, this is the method that was chosen for communicating with their Elite by Tecsys ERP.
Aetrex’s orders from their Shopify stores transmit to iPaaS.com. This also includes a variety of orders that originate in Marketplaces and flow into Shopify, such as orders from Target and TikTok. These orders are transmitted to the ERP via iPaaS.com.
As orders are fulfilled in the ERP, tracking information flows back to Shopify, and order status are updated accordingly as orders are fulfilled.
The team at LIM successfully launched Aetrex’s new Shopify stores, and integrated those stores with iPaaS.com.
Let’s build your integration strategy without the guesswork.
