Fundraise Up Integration

Bring your online giving data into the systems that power your mission.

What the Integration Does

The Fundraise Up integration with iPaaS.com automatically syncs donation data from your Fundraise Up account into iPaaS.com on a scheduled basis. Each donation brings with it the associated donor (supporter) record, including contact details, address and the payment record. This data flows into iPaaS.com where it can be routed to connected CRM, ERP, fund accounting, and other nonprofit systems, giving your team a unified view of donor activity without manual exports or imports.

Common Connections

Fundraise Up subscribers often integrate the doner management software with Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, enabling donation and donor data to flow directly into the systems your team works in every day.

Key Use Cases

  • Automatically create or update donor records in your CRM when a new donation is received in Fundraise Up
  • Sync donation transactions, including amount, status, recurring frequency, and custom fields to your accounting or ERP system
  • Capture donor contact details, address, and phone number from Fundraise Up and keep them current in your system of record
  • Record payment method and processor reference (e.g. Stripe charge ID) on transaction payment records for reconciliation
  • Track donation status changes and refunds in connected systems to support accurate accounting
  • Eliminate manual CSV exports re-imports into your CRM or ERP

Workflow Examples

  • Fundraise Up Donation → iPaaS.com Transaction: New donations in Fundraise Up are discovered via scheduled polling and synced to iPaaS.com as Transaction records, including donation amount, status, campaign reference, recurring frequency, and any custom fields.
  • Fundraise Up Supporter → iPaaS.com Customer: Each donation transfer first syncs the associated donor (supporter) as a Customer record in iPaaS.com, including name, email address, and phone number. If the donor already exists in iPaaS.com, the record is updated rather than duplicated.
  • Fundraise Up Supporter Address → iPaaS.com Customer Address: If the donor record carries an address, it is synced as a child Customer Address record under the corresponding iPaaS.com Customer.
  • Fundraise Up Payment → iPaaS.com Transaction Payment: The payment associated with each donation is synced as a child Transaction Payment record, including payment method and the processor transaction reference (e.g. Stripe charge ID) for reconciliation.

Who This Is For

  • Nonprofits using Fundraise Up for online giving who need donation and donor data automatically reflected in their CRM or fund accounting system
  • Development and finance teams replacing manual Fundraise Up data exports with an automated sync to their system of record
  • Organizations wanting to consolidate donor activity from Fundraise Up alongside other giving channels in a single CRM
  • Finance teams requiring donation payment details, including processor reference IDs for bank reconciliation and audit
  • Nonprofits managing recurring giving programs who need donor and donation records kept current in connected systems

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Does data flow in both directions between Fundraise Up and iPaaS.com?

No. This integration is source-only, data flows from Fundraise Up into iPaaS.com. The Fundraise Up REST API does not expose write endpoints for donations or supporters, so records cannot be created or updated in Fundraise Up from iPaaS.com.

  • How quickly do new donations appear in iPaaS.com after they are made in Fundraise Up?

New donations are discovered through scheduled polling rather than real-time webhooks. The time between a donation being made in Fundraise Up and its appearance in iPaaS.com is equal to the configured poll interval for the subscription.

  • Will the integration import my full donation history when first set up?

Yes. When polling is first enabled, an initial backfill step paginates the full Fundraise Up donation history up to the configured lookback period. This prevents the first scheduled poll from re-importing all historical donations.

  • How does the integration handle duplicate donor records?

How does the integration handle duplicate donor records? Collision handling is configurable. When an incoming supporter matches an existing iPaaS.com Customer, email address, you can configure the integration to remap and link (recommended), update and link, update without linking, or error. Remap and Link is recommended to avoid duplicate Customer records.

  • Can Fundraise Up custom fields be synced to connected systems?

Yes. Fundraise Up exposes custom fields on donation records. These can be mapped to iPaaS.com Custom Fields on the Transaction record and routed to connected downstream systems. The payment record also carries the processor transaction reference (e.g. Stripe charge ID) as a custom field for reconciliation purposes.

  • What happens when a donation is refunded in Fundraise Up?

Refunded donations are picked up by the next scheduled poll. Subscribers who need to track refunds as distinct accounting events can configure a mapping filter to route refunded donations through a separate Mapping Collection in iPaaS.com.

  • Does the integration support recurring donations?

Yes. Recurring donation frequency information (‘Monthly’, ‘Every 4 Weeks’, etc.) is included on the donation record and can be mapped to connected systems.

  • Can the integration run in test mode before going live?

Yes. Fundraise Up issues separate API keys for live and test environments. Setting Livemode to false in the iPaaS.com subscription settings and using a test API key allows the integration to run against Fundraise Up's sandbox data before processing live donations.
